Frequently asked questions

How do I get the tracker after I pay?

You're taken straight to a download page with your "Make a copy" links. One click saves the tracker to your own Google Drive. Stripe also emails your receipt.

I own a property jointly. Does it handle that?

Yes. Enter the full amounts and it works out your share. Spouses and civil partners are split 50:50 unless you’ve sent HMRC Form 17, and co-owners’ figures are shown alongside yours.

How many properties can I track?

Up to 3 properties owned personally, on your own or jointly, anywhere in the UK.

Does it work in Excel?

The download here is the Google Sheets version, which is free with any Google account. If you'd rather use Excel, get in touch after buying and I'll send you the Excel files too.

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. There is no app, no subscription and no bank login. Your copy lives in your own Google Drive and only you can see it.

Will I get updates when tax rates change?

Yes. Bookmark your download page: it always links to the latest version, updated for each new tax year at no extra cost.

Can I share it with friends?

Please don't share or resell the tracker or its links. It is licensed for your own personal use.

Is this tax advice?

No. The tracker is a planning tool, not regulated financial or tax advice. Figures are estimates based on what you enter.
