Zero-based budget

Every pound gets a job

List your income and outgoings once and the planner builds your monthly budget. Anything left over is swept into your chosen spare-cash account, and any shortfall is drawn from it, so "Left to allocate" always lands on £0. Sinking funds smooth out holidays, car costs and other irregular bills.

Monthly tracker

Tick it off, month by month

Mark bills and savings as paid, or override a planned amount when real life differs. Enter your actual account balances each month and the planner highlights them so you can see plan versus reality.

5-year forecast

See where you will be in five years

Add pay rises, bonuses, a new baby, a house move or a loan ending in Planned Changes, and your savings and net worth forecast updates instantly. Debts pay down automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the planner after I pay?

You're taken straight to a download page with your 'Make a copy' links. One click saves the planner to your own Google Drive. Stripe also emails your receipt.

Does it work in Excel or Numbers?

No. It is built for Google Sheets, which is free with any Google account. It works on a computer, phone or tablet, though setup is easiest on a bigger screen.

Do I need to connect my bank?

No. There is no app, no subscription and no bank login. Your copy lives in your own Google Drive and only you can see it.

Will I get updates when tax rates change?

Yes. Bookmark your download page: it always links to the latest version, updated for each new tax year at no extra cost.

Is it suitable for couples?

Yes. Every item can be assigned to Person 1, Person 2 or Joint, and the take-home pay calculator handles two salaries.

I'm not great with spreadsheets. Will I manage?

Yes. You only type into one list on My Plan plus a few settings. Everything else updates automatically, and the example data shows you how each part works.

Can I share it with friends?

Please don't share or resell the planner or its links. It is licensed for personal use in your own household.

Is this financial advice?

No. The planner is a planning tool, not regulated financial advice. Projections are estimates based on the figures you enter.
