Ultra is Revolut's top plan, with a platinum-plated card and a price to match. At £595 to £720 a year, it costs more than most premium credit cards. I've checked Revolut's Ultra page and fees today and worked through the numbers, so you can see exactly who it's worth it for and who would be better off on Metal or Premium.

How much does Revolut Ultra cost?

Revolut Ultra costs £60 a month or £595 a year for new UK customers since 14 October 2026. Existing Ultra customers move from £55 a month (£540 a year) on 19 December 2026, according to DepositScout's report on Revolut's updated fees page.

Old price New price Extra per year
Monthly billing £55 £60 £60
Annual billing £540 £595 £55

Paying annually saves £125 a year compared with monthly billing at the new price. Ultra is a 12-month plan, and monthly payers who leave early may pay a break fee. DepositScout reports that Ultra's break fee is lower than the other plans' and that it falls away sooner, after 6 months rather than 10. Check the Paid Plan Terms in the app for the exact rules before you upgrade.

What does Revolut Ultra include?

Ultra includes everything on Metal and adds Revolut's biggest perks. From Revolut's plan comparison and Ultra page:

Revolut's Ultra page lists 3GB of global data a month. DepositScout reports that Revolut's UK Ultra help page now lists 5GB, so check the app for your current allowance.

Which subscriptions come with Ultra?

Ultra includes Revolut's biggest subscription bundle, which Revolut values at £4,000 a year. It includes:

  • Financial Times Premium Digital
  • ClassPass, WeWork and MasterClass
  • Uber One (even if you've had it before)
  • NordVPN, Headspace and Headway
  • The Athletic, Chess.com, Tinder Gold, Turo, Freeletics, Sleep Cycle and Picsart Gold

Revolut changes partners from time to time, and each one has its own terms. The £4,000 figure assumes you'd pay full price for every subscription, which almost nobody would.

How does Revolut Ultra's cancellation cover work?

Ultra's cancel-for-any-reason cover refunds up to 70% of the cost of a trip or event you cancel, whatever the reason. You must have paid with Revolut, booked at least 72 hours before departure and claimed at least 24 hours before the trip. Cover is capped at £5,000 a year.

That's unusual. Standard travel insurance only pays out for listed reasons such as illness or a death in the family. Cancel-for-any-reason cover is normally an expensive add-on. If you book a lot of non-refundable flights, hotels or concert tickets, this is one of Ultra's most valuable perks.

Revolut's travel insurance cover ends at age 76, and travel to sanctioned countries or against government advice isn't covered. Read the policy documents in the app for the full exclusions.

Is Revolut Ultra worth it?

Revolut Ultra is worth it only if you'd use the lounges and travel perks often and you spend heavily on the card. For most people, Metal or Premium gives most of the value for a fraction of the price.

Here's a rough way to work it out, using Ultra's £595 annual price:

  • Lounges: lounge pass prices vary by airport. If a single pass would cost you £30, you'd need about 20 lounge visits a year for the lounges alone to cover the fee. That's roughly 10 return trips. Check the price of passes at the airports you actually use.
  • RevPoints: at £1,500 a month of card spending, Ultra earns 18,000 RevPoints a year, against 9,000 on Metal. If you value airline miles at around 1p each, those 9,000 extra points are worth about £90.
  • Savings: the extra 0.6% over Metal's 3.40% is worth about £300 a year on £50,000 of savings.

Try the savings maths with your own balance:

  • Rate B (AER)3.4%

Revolut Ultra£2,000
Revolut Metal£1,700
Rates checked on 5 November 2026 and variable. Ultra's 4.00% applies up to £200,000. Ignores plan costs and tax on interest above your Personal Savings Allowance.

Put together, someone with a large cash balance who flies most months and spends heavily on the card could get more than £595 of value. Someone who flies twice a year and doesn't hold much cash in Revolut won't come close.

Take Action: Count how many times you passed through an airport in the last year and how much cash you hold in Revolut. If you made fewer than 10 return trips and hold under £50,000, Metal or Premium is likely better value.

Revolut Ultra vs Metal

Metal costs £165 a year against Ultra's £595, so Ultra costs £430 a year more on annual billing. The main differences:

Metal Ultra
Annual price £165 £595
Lounge access Discounted passes Unlimited, free
Cancel-for-any-reason cover No Up to 70%, max £5,000 a year
Savings (AER, variable) 3.40% 4.00% up to £200,000
RevPoints 1 per £2 1 per £1
Free ATM withdrawals £800 £2,000
International transfers 40% off No additional fees
Financial Times Standard Digital Premium Digital

Both include travel insurance and Uber One. If you don't need unlimited lounges or the cancellation cover, Metal is the better deal for most travellers. Our Revolut Metal vs Ultra comparison goes deeper, and the Revolut Metal review covers Metal on its own.

Revolut Ultra vs premium credit cards

Ultra's closest UK rivals are premium travel credit cards such as the American Express Platinum, which also offer lounge access and travel insurance. The key difference is that Ultra is a debit account, so there's no credit check for the perks and no risk of interest if you don't clear a balance.

Credit cards, on the other hand, give you Section 75 protection on purchases between £100 and £30,000, and their points schemes and welcome bonuses can be worth more. Our Revolut Ultra vs Amex Platinum comparison covers that matchup in full, and the cashback vs Avios guide covers the points. Whichever you choose, only pay a premium fee for perks you'll actually use.

Who is Revolut Ultra best for?

Ultra may suit you if you:

  • Fly most months and use airport lounges regularly
  • Book expensive, non-refundable trips or event tickets and want cancel-for-any-reason cover
  • Keep a large cash balance and would earn noticeably more at 4.00%
  • Spend heavily on the card and collect airline miles
  • Would genuinely use several of the subscriptions, such as the FT, ClassPass or WeWork

It's not for you if you travel a few times a year or mainly want a good everyday card. In that case, look at Revolut Premium or stay on the free plan.

Is Revolut Ultra better than Metal?

Ultra is better only if you'd use unlimited lounge access, cancel-for-any-reason cover or the 4.00% savings rate on a large balance. It costs £430 a year more than Metal on annual billing. For most travellers, Metal's travel insurance and discounted lounges give better value.

The bottom line

Revolut Ultra is a genuinely premium plan, but at £595 a year it only makes sense for frequent flyers who use lounges, book expensive trips and keep a lot of cash with Revolut. For everyone else, Metal or Premium gives most of the value for far less.
