Which is cheaper: Revolut Premium or Monzo Perks?
On paper they're the same price: £8.99 vs £9 a month. Revolut is cheaper if you pay annually (£90 instead of £107.88), but that means committing for a year. Monzo Perks is monthly with no minimum term, so you can drop it any time.
Both went up in 2026. Monzo Perks rose from £7 to £9 for new customers from 13 August, with existing customers moving from their first billing date on or after 14 October, according to Monzo's price change page. Revolut Premium rose from £7.99 to £8.99 for new customers on 14 October, with existing customers moving on 19 December, according to DepositScout.
Take Action: If you're unsure you'll use the perks for a whole year, Monzo's lack of a minimum term is a real advantage. If you're sure, Revolut's annual price saves about £18.
Which is better for travel?
Revolut Premium is better for travel. It has accounts in 35+ currencies, unlimited currency exchange with no weekend fees, and 20% off international transfers. You can hold euros or dollars before you go and pay in local currency.
Monzo's card is fee-free to spend abroad, which is all you need for occasional trips, and Perks gives you up to £600 of fee-free cash withdrawals abroad, which is more than Revolut Premium's £400. But you can't hold other currencies in Monzo.
If you travel a few times a year, both are fine. If you travel often or send money abroad, Revolut is the stronger choice. Our Revolut vs Wise comparison covers sending larger sums abroad.
Which perks are worth more?
It depends entirely on your lifestyle, because the perks are completely different.
Monzo Perks suits UK commuters and everyday spenders. An annual Railcard saves a third on many rail fares, the weekly Greggs treat and monthly Vue ticket add up if you'd use them, and YouTube Premium Lite removes most ads. Monzo says the partner perks are worth over £300 a year.
Revolut Premium suits app and wellbeing subscribers. Headspace, NordVPN, Freeletics, Sleep Cycle Premium, Picsart Gold and Tinder Plus are all paid apps on their own. Revolut values the whole Premium package at about £1,750 a year, but that assumes you'd pay for everything.
Uber One is on both. If you've had Uber One before, only Monzo will give it to you; Revolut Premium restricts it to new Uber One members. Our guide to stacking Uber One with Avios and RevPoints explains how to get the most from it on Revolut.
Both banks rotate partners from time to time, so check the current list in each app before you sign up.
Which pays more interest?
They're level on instant access: both pay 3.25% AER (variable). Monzo pulls ahead if you're happy to limit withdrawals, because its Select Access account pays 3.65% for 2 or fewer withdrawals a year with a £500 minimum.
- Amount saved£10,000
- Rate A (AER)3.65%
- Rate B (AER)3.25%
- Months12 months
On £10,000, that's about £40 more a year with Monzo, as long as you rarely touch the money. For easy-access savings, the two are equal. Our Revolut savings review and Monzo plans compared have the full rate tables.

If you're already on Revolut Premium
Your price rises to £8.99 on 19 December 2026. If you mainly use Uber One and live in the UK, compare Monzo Perks before then. If you leave Revolut Premium early you may face a break fee, but if you don't accept the price change, Revolut's terms let you close your account free before it takes effect. A free downgrade is at Revolut's discretion.
Investing through Revolut carries risk. Capital at risk: the value of investments can go down as well as up.
